Is Protesting Legal…?
While no human rights instrument or national constitution grants the absolute right to protest, The Right to Protest actually come from Right to Freedom of Assembly, Right to Freedom of Association and Right to Freedom of Speech. People Protest when they are against any decision or any event.
Effects of Protest :
- On Economy of country: While protesting people lose their calm and start violating on the roads. They block Roads, Streets, Damage public transport and Government property. This effects the Economy of the country very badly.
- On Students: If we talk about recent protest of Jamia, Several students of Delhi University boycotted exams and protested outside the Arts Faculty in North Campus to express their solidarity with the movement and the crackdown on fellow students in Jamia.
- On health: In order to stop Riots, Police starts throwing tear gas capsules and in return protesters throw stones on them. So there is a risk of health in protests.
What is the right way to ptotest…?
Damaging Public transport, Government’s property and hurting cops is the right way to protest..? Not at all. If you can protest without violence, then why should we do violation? Doing riots and violating rule is not the right way to protest. Hunger strike is the best way of protesting. A hunger strike is a method of non-violent resistance or pressure in which participants fast as an act of political protest, or to provoke the feelings of guilt in others, usually with the objective to achieve a specific goal, such as a policy change. Most hunger strikers will take liquids but not solid food. There is a saying:
“Non violence is the first article of my faith. It is also the last article of my creed”.

Media plays a vital role when protests are going on. As we all know that News channels put spices in every News, So providing wrong information to viewers is the worst thing that a News channels can do. They should not be biased with any kind of News. Every News should be covered on channels.
